Towards New Teaching in Mathematics
What Do We Learn from SINUS (Germany)?
Between 1998 and 2007 the improvement in the quality of mathematics and science education was initiated, tested, and systematically spread by the SINUS project in Germany. More than 1800 schools took part.
This international assessment of SINUS led to a strong perception of this national project also in non-German-speaking countries. In order to make the goals, contents, ideas, approaches, materials, and results of SINUS internationally known and transparent, in particular for the subject of mathematics, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) financially supported English translations of selected documents.
We are going to publish all translations as PDF documents here on the SINUS server.
